Does your dog barge past you when you open the door to your yard? Does your dog take your spot on the couch and not give it back? Does he tell you know when it is time to eat and play and go for a walk?
Guess what? Your dog doesn’t just think he’s the leader of your household — he knows he’s the boss, the leader of the pack, because you may be unwittingly sending him messages that he is the leader of your family.
You are not alone. My family’s two dogs were getting away with every behavior listed above and more by being very sweet, naughty and ever so persistent.
